The long pedestrian walkway stretching out into the Adriatic Sea is one of the town’s most recognisable symbols. It is located on Lungomare John Fitzgerald Kennedy, next to Auditorium Sirena, another historic building linked to Francavilla’s seaside and tourism vocation.
Built in the 1960s, the pier extends for around 130 metres from the shore towards the open sea, offering a unique perspective over the Abruzzo coast and the town’s skyline. It is a much-loved place among residents and tourists for relaxing walks and panoramic views, particularly evocative at sunrise and sunset.
Its central location, easily accessible from the seafront and close to bars and venues, makes it the perfect stop for a break or a refreshing walk, combining the natural beauty of the sea and sea breeze with the social and tourist life of Francavilla al Mare.
