The Strega Tour is an itinerant series of literary events in which the finalists of the Premio Strega, Italy’s most prestigious literary award, present their books and engage in conversation with audiences in different Italian cities. The tour offers lovers of contemporary fiction the opportunity to meet the shortlisted writers in person, listen to their stories and take part in cultural discussions.
For several years now, Francavilla al Mare has hosted the only Abruzzo stop on the Strega Tour, as part of Macondo – Festival delle Narrazioni, a highly significant event that places the town at the heart of a major cultural occasion.
The Premio Strega is, in fact, an extraordinary international showcase that brings due prestige and well-deserved visibility to our region: Abruzzo, which has always been a breeding ground for great literary figures and writers.
The meeting with the finalists of the prestigious literary award will take place in Piazza Sirena, as part of Macondo Festival delle Narrazioni. The event will feature the six authors who have reached the final stage of the prize, and who will present their works to the public. The event, scheduled for 20 June at 9.00 pm, will be moderated by the writer Giulia Ciarapica.
