The Filosofia al Mare association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Francavilla al Mare and with the patronage of the Abruzzo Region, once again presents its annual cultural event: an occasion filled with knowledge and the scent of the sea.

Il Premio Michetti, known as the Premio Nazionale di Pittura Francesco Paolo Michetti, is an art competition established in 1947 in Francavilla al Mare in honour of the painter Francesco Paolo Michetti.

After winning over audiences with the song that triumphed at the latest Festival di Sanremo, “Per sempre sì”, and following his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, Sal Da Vinci comes to Francavilla al Mare for a free concert.

As part of the celebrations for San Franco, the highly anticipated free concert by The Kolors will take place. The Italian pop-rock and disco-funk band are known for numerous hit records, including “Italodisco” in 2023.

From 21 to 23 August, three days of events will bring Francavilla al Mare back to the fascinating atmosphere of the Belle Époque, paying tribute to its history and culture and offering a true journey into the past with dances, parades, exhibitions, food stands, historical re-enactments and period costumes.

Among the most eagerly awaited winter events of the year in Francavilla al Mare is undoubtedly Il Carnevale d’Abruzzo. The town hosts this historic event, first held in 1956, which represents a cultural and identity landmark for the entire area.
As every year, on the occasion of the patron saint’s festival of San Franco, the much-loved appointment with the fireworks over the sea returns.
