The Abruzzo Tennis Internationals is a professional tennis tournament played on clay courts, part of the ATP Challenger Tour circuit. It is held annually at the “Sporting Club” Tennis Club in Francavilla al Mare.
Since the first edition held in 2017, the ATP Challenger has become a fixed annual appointment with international tennis, establishing Francavilla al Mare as a key destination for major sporting events.
It is the most important sporting event for the city, attracting every year numerous guests, professionals, and tennis enthusiasts for a week of high-level tennis, sport, and entertainment, as well as a significant opportunity for tourism promotion for the entire area.
This year, the Francavilla Open took place from 03 to 10 May. The 2026 Challenger champion was the Argentine player Facundo Diaz Acosta, who reached the ATP Top 50 rankings.
